And now for something completely different...

You know how sometimes you get a song stuck in your head for awhile and it rolls around in there until you either hear it or something else comes around and drowns it out until it's gone? I'm a little bit different in that my brain sings to me 24/7 and I can't drown out the songs. They play in my head either loudly and proudly or quietly in the background. Every day is a new song...mostly. Sometimes I get one stuck in there for months. The last few months it's been Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard."

Seriously.

So I decided to get it unstuck by turning it into a series of photographs using small flashes placed in strategic places and my willing-to-experiment, patient photographer friends. This is what I have so far:

"Mama Pajama rolled out of bed
and she ran to the police station"

"When the Papa found out
he began to shout
and started the investigation"

I have the rest of the photos to the remaining lyrics composed in my head already. They will be forthcoming in the months ahead.

By the way, you can read about the debate behind the meaning of the lyrics here if you're interested.

Out

Check out my guest post on Dave's blog. It was fun writing for someone else's blog! Thanks for the opportunity, TD!

If you landed on my blog from Dave's, well thanks for stopping in! I'm currently back in the desert southwest on a short trip to see friends and family. The next pics you'll most likely see are from this area so stick around if you've never seen the desert before.
